Sacred Valley Tour with Lunch

Sacred Valley Tour is a route that allows you to appreciate the richness of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, its millennia-old history and the heritage that lives on in its people.

Sacred Valley Tour Description:

In the traditional village of Chinchero, we will learn about its traditional textiles and their symbolism. We will visit the Parwa cultural center to observe the textile process for each piece, the materials used, the method of obtaining natural dyes, and the weaving techniques passed down from generation to generation.

We will also reach the archaeological complex of Chinchero, which, during the time of the Tahuantinsuyo, served as an agricultural and livestock center with terraces and aqueducts.

Within the complex, we can see the exterior of the Church of Our Lady of Monserrat, a testament to the confluence of Andean and Spanish culture during the Viceroyalty.

We will continue to delve into the world of the Incas at Moray, a site that functioned as an agricultural research center and laboratory. Its enormous concentric terraces and the variety of micro climates they create allowed for the cultivation of a wide range of crops.

We will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the journey to the town of Ollantaytambo, an ancient military, religious, and agricultural center.

Strategically located on a hill, its impressive fortress is a testament to the Inca’s might and offers an unparalleled view of the town, the only one still inhabited today that maintains the original Inca urban design. We will explore its beautiful cobblestone streets and have time for some shopping in its artisan market.
