Your Safari Experience with Meal at a Local Ranch start from the hotel in a 4 X 4 vehicle. You travel for one kilometer by the Provincial Nº 15 route, to Estancia Huyliche, and then later enter the Natural Reserve “Estancia 25 de Mayo”.

The first stop will be at an ancient stone site, where the first family of the estancia lived: the Villalba. You will learn about the estancias, the first settlers, the beginning of El Calafate and of Estancia 25 de Mayo, and the lucrative nature of the region.
The tour continues by vehicle until you reach La Sección, a genuine estancia post nestled in the vast Patagonia. Here you make your second stop to see the indigenous fauna at Cerro 25 de Mayo.
This is an ideal moment for photography lovers, who can make good use of the long vistas and the telescopes provided by the “Safari Experience” (we also offer a tripod, telephoto lens, and other accessories for digital photos, for cameras compatible with Nikon) At the third stop, you leave the vehicle and walk toward the herds of guanacos.
Here you must be aware of how you are interacting with the native animals. Then you travel about 4Kms. more in the vehicle to an area with a fossilized oyster deposit. At this fourth stop, you can admire a wall of fossilized reef over 23 million years old.
You will get an explanation about the paleontology and geology of the place. You continue toward the south approaching the border with Chile, reaching the Mirador del Centinela: a hill at 1500 meters above sea level from where you get an amazing panoramic view of endless walls of basalt, the Cerro Centinela and Baguales (hills that mark the southern boundary with Chile).
Here is the fifth stop, where you come to relax and feel the wind and experience the Patagonian vastness. We start the return trip, and make a stop in La Sección. Lunch or dinner is served in an authentic outpost of the estancia, tucked away in the vastness of the Patagonian steppe.
The house, tipical abode of the foreman who was trusted the section of the estancia, features a cozy living room with a nice view of the 25 de Mayo hill, 2 toilets and bedrooms. After the meal, return to the hotel.
