The Pantanal  is the largest inland wetland in the World and the Disneyland for Wildlife Lovers.  Situated in the center of South America, shared by Brazil, Bolívia and Paraguay and covering approximately 210,000 sq km, it's one of the only places in the world where spotting a jaguar is probable vs. possible. It is a wilderness sanctuary with an amazing number of species of birds (over 550!), reptiles and other animals and a delight to wildlife lovers and photographers. The best time to go is during Brazil’s winter months, May to August offer the best combination of both comfortable temperature and animal sightings. November to April is the Rainy season in the wetlands and when there are the most insects. The wetlands low season starts in December and continues until March when prices are lowest, however, it can get very rainy and humid.

The Brazilian Pantanal is divided into North & South. We mostly offer the Northern part of the Brazilian Pantanal because our suppliers there offer a higher quality experience in terms of seeing wildlife and comfort. The amount of nights recommended in Pantanal is 3 to 5 nights. The below itinerary can be completely customized. If you are looking to add nights to the 3 night itinerary below, we can include additional activities like, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, etc.

Pantanal Brazil Sample Itinerary:

Day 1: There will be a driver/guide waiting for you outside baggage claim. This person will greet you and take you to your hotel in Cuiabá. Afternoon/Night at Leisure.

Day 2: Pick-up at the hotel in Cuiabá and Transfer to Pantanal driving the scenic Transpantaneira Park Road. While crossing the area, it is possible to spot lovely sights of the local flora & fauna. Arriving at the Lodge you will be greeted with a welcome drink. Late afternoon hike within the surroundings of the lodge, reaching the Mirante da Garça, a 12 m / 39.5 ft. high observation tower for an unequaled view of the sunset. After dinner, a star gazing trek, listening to the sounds of the Pantanal.

Day 3: Full day dedicated to observing the Pantanal’s flora & fauna at the lodge’s private reserve. After breakfast, the guide will lead you on a 2 to 3 hour horse ride through the grazing fields, woods and flood lands. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, join a hike to a different area of the reservation, allowing you to watch and learn about this ecosystem.

Day 4: Early morning hike to see and feel the awakening of nature. Breakfast by the swimming pool. Check-out and photo safari transfer to Cuiabá – do not pack your camera. Drop-off at the airport.
