Description:
Built in 1928, the Hotel Rochester Champs Elysees experienced a particular excitement on the occasion of Abbé Pierre’s Winter 54 appeal. Generous parisians, touched by the Abbé’s appeal, queued outside the hotel to bring clothes and blankets to the homeless during the harsh February weather, which was posting temperatures of -15°C.
The Hotel Rochester Champs Elysees offers 105 guest rooms in a careful decor and lovely, harmonious colours for an exceptionally peaceful atmosphere, featuring new sound proofing, so you can forget the hotel is right in the centre of a dynamic area of the city. Since then, from expansion to renovations, the Hotel Rochester now houses 105 rooms that are spread out on the street or on the pretty flowered interior courtyard.
A few metres from the hotel there are some visits and shopping addresses you simply can’t miss: the Arc de Triomphe, The Louis Vuitton Foundation (direct shuttle service every 15 minutes from Place Charles de Gaulle, ten minutes walk from the hotel), Avenue des Champs-Élysées. As you stroll down the Champs-Élysées, cultural attractions await at the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, both within walking distance.
At the heart of this approach to style at the hotel Rochester is a choice of deep and contrasting colours that enhance the choice of fine fabrics and harmonise with decorative touches employing the same tones. In blue-grey guest rooms, a small touch of bright orange here and there creates a sparkling ambiance; in rooms where the scheme is foam green, an intense irridescence creates a subtle equilibrium; meanwhile, prune-toned guest rooms play with the impertinent dazzle of a very indulgent red cherry.
Whether it is its copious and varied buffet breakfast, its room service or its cosy bar, meets your gourmet desires throughout the day. You also have the possibility to taste a selection of products and drinks offered in the minibar in each room.
