TGW Destinations Open for Vaccinated Travelers

The COVID-19 outbreak has impacted the travel industry and it happened all at once as the news of the pandemic shocked the world in early 2020. With coronavirus vaccines becoming more widely available, there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Some of our destinations are open for vaccinated travelers.

Travelers can finally dream of the days they can travel freely again. With vaccination underway worldwide, it was only a matter of time before nations began opening their borders for travelers that have been vaccinated. Many countries are desperate to reopen their borders for tourists and start rebuilding their economies that have been devastated by the pandemic.

Although most of our destinations still have travel restrictions, fortunately, some countries have already claimed they will welcome travelers without the need to quarantine upon arrival, either with a negative Covid-19 test or with official proof of having been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Below is a list of our destinations allowing vaccinated tourists that are open or planning to open in the near future. Keep in mind that country entry requirements can change at any time. Before booking a package, consult your TGW Sales Rep or visit the country’s official tourism site.

Spain

The Spanish government will allow the entry of vaccinated people from non-EU countries from June 7th, 2021. Approved vaccines include Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson.  For countries within the EU, a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival is required. Countries not requiring any restrictions to enter Spain include the UK, Japan, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and China, as well as the territories of Hong Kong and Macao

Now open to fully vaccinated travelers, as well as previously infected travelers and those who can show a negative COVID-19 test result from within 48 hours of arrival. Travelers coming from an approved list of low-risk “Green” countries can also enter Croatia without any requirements or restrictions, as long as they do not have symptoms and have not been in close contact with an infected person.

In this case, a vaccination certificate issued by a public authority in the English language must be shown to border control officers, and the following conditions must be met:

  • A fourteen (14) day period has elapsed since these passengers were fully vaccinated, OR
  • They have a negative result to a molecular PCR test taken within 72 hrs before their entry in Greece.

Iceland

The Icelandic government has announced that all those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19  can travel to Iceland without being subject to triple testing and quarantine. Passengers from low-risk countries will be exempt from quarantine and a second screening if they can provide proof of a negative PCR test prior to departure.

Also besides providing proof of a negative Covid-19 test or vaccination certificates, some countries are requiring for you to pre-register on their site before traveling, provide a confirmed (paid) voucher for accommodation & pre-screen or do random tests on arrival. You will also have to comply with all of the countries’ health protocols after arrival. By booking a trip with TGW Travel Group, we will assist you with all of the requirements needed prior and during travel.

As more and more of our Destinations open for Vaccinated Travelers, we will keep updating this page, so BOOKMARK IT! Keep in mind that the best sources of information are the countries’ official tourism sites.
