Located between two of Brazil’s largest cities, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (a 4 hour drive from each city), this colonial UNESCO town offers an unexpected retreat where you can enjoy a colorful, charming city center, prestine beaches, beautiful mountain views, waterfalls and a ton of outdoor activities. Our Paraty Travel Package is the perfect add-on to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Paraty has always been a popular destination for local tourism especially on weekends & long holidays, but recently it’s charm has conquered the hearts of foreign travelers. It’s a destination that appeals to everyone – Nature & Beach Lovers, History Buffs, Adventure Seekers, Romantics or someone just looking for a beautiful place to relax.
Paraty can be visited year round. As far as weather, the hottest period is over the summer which runs from November until February. March to May & Sept. to Nov. is shoulder season and a great time to go as the weather is cooler and has less crowds. June to August are the winter months when temperatures are at their lowest, but still very mild. You should expect some rain whatever time of year you travel as it is tropical. The most expensive times to travel are during big events like New Year’s Eve, Brazilian Carnival and it’s yearly Cachaça festival (mid-August) as well as the summer months and the month of July.
Our Paraty Travel Package includes everything you need to get the most out of the destination. We recommend at least 3 to 4 nights and include transfers from/to Rio de Janeiro, can’t miss tours to visit some of the surrounding beaches, islands & waterfalls, and your choice of great Paraty Accommodation (Budget to Luxury Options). You will also have some free time to explore the city and you can also contact our local staff in Rio de Janeiro for any questions or recommendations.
