San Andres Island is one of the top places to visit for Colombians. Although a bit on the grungy side and busy, the island’s downtown does offer plenty of deals to shop as well as good bars and restaurants. The 30km road encircling the island is scenic and offers plenty of great beaches. On your free time, we recommend renting a golf cart and exploring the island.

San Andres is in the Caribbean so it’s beach weather year-round. Rainy season is from June to November, but that usually only entails a few hours of rain each day. The most expensive times to visit are around Christmas thru early January and Easter week as locals flock to the island during that time.
