Salvador, Bahia is an incredible city located in the Northeast of Brazil. Our Salvador Bahia Travel Package includes everything you need to see and experience everything Salvador has to offer! It’s one of Brazil’s most culturally diverse cities and the center for Afro-Brazilian culture in Brazil. It was Brazil’s first major port and the Capital of Colonial Brazil for almost two centuries so it has some incredible history. It was once the center of the former African slave trade hence the city’s cuisine, music, art have been maintained from its African roots. Salvador also boasts some amazing beaches located on the outskirts of the city.

We recommend traveling to Salvador, Bahia year-round and staying for 3 to 5 days. High Season is between December & March, but Salvador’s most famous event is Carnival in Salvador, Bahia, which is 2nd largest Carnival in Brazil and considered its wildest.

Itinerary

Salvador, Bahia Sample Itinerary:

Day 1: There will be a driver/guide waiting for you outside baggage claim. This person will greet you and take you to your hotel in Salvador. Afternoon/Night at Leisure.

Day 2: In the morning, you will be picked up for your Panoramic Half Day City Tour. Discover Salvador’s highlights on this comprehensive tour to the city’s most important landmarks. Soak up the best panoramic views as you visit historical monuments, a market, and the local soccer stadium.

Day 3: In the morning, Explore the Historical District of Salvador on this 4-hour walking tour.Visit the original fort built at the entrance to the Bay of All Saints, constructed to protect the city from invasion. Visit the Barra Lighthouse, the Historical Center of Pelourinho and the Teatro and Balé de Castro Alves while enjoying commentary from a knowledgable guide. Imagine what living in Brazil hundreds of years ago must have been like. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.

Afternoon at Leisure, at night you will be picked up for the dinner show. Lose yourself in a night of magic, mystery, and amusement in Bahia with a show that highlights Brazil’s traditional culture and entertainment. Relish a dinner with some of the region’s main specialties, and admire the performances with folk elements exploring the country’s Afro-Brazilian roots.

Day 4: A driver will pick you up 2 to 3.5 hours prior to your flight depending if you are flying nationally or internationally.
