Salvador Carnival Travel Package

Overview

Our Salvador Carnival Travel Package gives you the chance to experience one of Brazil’s most energetic and immersive Carnival celebrations. Known for its nonstop street parties, live music, and massive crowds dancing behind giant sound trucks called “trio elétricos,” Salvador Carnival delivers an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the world.

Carnival in Salvador is all about music, energy, and participation. Throughout the city, live bands perform on massive sound trucks while crowds follow behind dancing and celebrating day and night. VIP Blocos and all-inclusive Camarotes give travelers the opportunity to experience the festivities with added comfort, security, food, drinks, and premium viewing areas.

This is a small group travel package designed to make the experience seamless and stress free. Packages typically include hotel accommodations, airport transfers, local staff assistance, VIP Carnival access, and on-the-ground support throughout the trip.

TGW Travel Group has been offering Brazil Carnival packages since 2004. Salvador groups tend to be smaller and more personalized, making this an incredible option for travelers looking for an unforgettable Carnival experience in Brazil.

Accommodation

Salvador Carnival Hotels

For Salvador Carnival, we typically recommend hotels located in the Barra or Ondina neighborhoods, as these areas provide the best access to the famous Barra-Ondina Carnival circuit where many of the city’s top Blocos and Camarotes take place. Staying nearby helps minimize transportation time and allows guests to fully enjoy the Carnival atmosphere throughout the day and night.

FAQ
What is included in the Salvador Carnival Travel Package?

Our Salvador Carnival Travel Package typically includes hotel accommodations, airport transfers, VIP Carnival experiences, local guides, transportation to events, daily breakfast, and 24/7 on-location support throughout the trip.

What is a Camarote at Salvador Carnival?

A Camarote is a VIP viewing and party area located along the Carnival circuit. Most Camarotes include food, drinks, live music performances, bathrooms, security, and elevated viewing areas overlooking the parade route.

What is a Bloco at Salvador Carnival?

A Bloco is a roped-off street party that follows behind one of Salvador’s famous “trios elétricos” (music trucks). Guests wear an official event shirt and party alongside thousands of people as the music moves through the streets.

Is this a group trip or a private package?

This is a small group travel package with shared Carnival experiences and transportation. The groups for Salvador are typically smaller and more personalized than traditional large group tours.

Can I customize the Salvador Carnival Travel Package?

Because this is a set small group package, customization options are somewhat limited. However, we can usually assist with additional hotel nights, airport transfers, extra parties on nights not offered or add-on destinations before or after Carnival.

What is the best area to stay in Salvador during Carnival?

For Carnival, we typically recommend staying in Barra or Ondina, as these neighborhoods provide the best access to the Barra-Ondina Carnival circuit where many of the top Blocos and Camarotes take place.

Can I purchase only the services from you or just the parties?

No. We specialize in complete Salvador Carnival Travel Packages that bundle accommodations, Carnival experiences, transportation, and local support together. We do not sell standalone parties or individual services separately.

Can I only go to Salvador Carnival for 2 or 3 nights?

Usually no. Most hotels in Salvador require a minimum 5-night stay during Carnival due to high demand and special event policies.

What’s better: Carnival in Rio or Salvador?

Both offer incredible but very different Carnival experiences. For first-time travelers to Brazil Carnival, we usually recommend Rio de Janeiro as it tends to be more structured, easier for international travelers, and often more affordable overall. If you’d like to compare both experiences in detail, check out our article here: Best Carnival Rio or Salvador?

Can I combine Salvador Carnival and Rio Carnival in one trip?

Usually no, as most hotels in both cities require minimum stays during Carnival dates. However, if you want to experience both celebrations, we recommend our Ultimate Brazil Carnival package, which combines our Salvador Carnival Travel Package with Rio after Carnival, including the famous Winners’ Parade at the Sambadrome.
