Sample Itinerary (Best of Brazil Travel Package)
Please note: This is a sample itinerary. The exact order of destinations may vary depending on your departure city, flight routes, availability, and what makes the most sense logistically. Activities may also change.
Day 1: Arrive in Manaus
Arrive in Manaus, where a driver will meet you outside baggage claim and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Manaus to the Amazon
After breakfast, begin your Amazon experience with a full-day tour, including the Meeting of the Waters and lunch. Depending on the lodge program, you may also have the option to enjoy a canoe ride or piranha fishing. Arrive at your Amazon lodge in the late afternoon, check in, and enjoy dinner at the lodge.
Day 3: Amazon Lodge Experience
After breakfast, enjoy a nature hike followed by lunch. Later, visit a local Amazonian community and learn more about life in the rainforest. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a canoe tour for alligator spotting. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Amazon to Salvador
After breakfast, visit the Jungle Monkey area before checking out and transferring to the Manaus airport for your flight to Salvador. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 5: Salvador City Tour
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a full-day Salvador city tour. Highlights may include the Barra Lighthouse, Castro Alves Square, Pelourinho, Bonfim Church, Mont Serrat Fort, and the Lacerda Elevator. The tour does not include lunch, but there will be a stop for lunch. Evening at leisure.
Day 6: Salvador at Leisure & Bahia by Night Show
Enjoy the day at leisure. You may relax at the beach, explore Salvador on your own, or choose an optional excursion such as Praia do Forte or an island schooner tour. In the evening, enjoy the Bahia by Night Show with dinner, featuring traditional music, dance, and Afro-Brazilian culture.
Day 7: Salvador to Iguazu Falls
Transfer to the Salvador airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls, usually with a connection in São Paulo. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 8: Argentine Side of Iguazu Falls
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a tour of the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. Cross the border into Argentina and visit Iguazu National Park, where you can experience the walkways and views of the falls, including the famous Devil’s Throat. Return to your hotel after the tour.
Day 9: Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls & Flight to Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, enjoy a tour of the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls, known for its panoramic views of the falls. After the tour, transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 10: Rio de Janeiro Express Tour
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for the Rio Express Tour, which includes two of Rio’s most iconic landmarks: Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 11: Tijuca Forest Jeep Tour
Enjoy a guided Jeep tour through Tijuca Forest, one of the largest urban rainforests in the world. This tour offers a different side of Rio, with tropical scenery, viewpoints, and a break from the city’s beach scene. Evening at leisure.
Day 12: Rio de Janeiro at Leisure
Enjoy your final full day in Rio at leisure. You can relax at the beach, shop, explore on your own, or add an optional experience such as a soccer game, Rio by Night samba show with dinner, or a customized nightlife service with transportation, venue entry, and host assistance.
Day 13: Depart Rio de Janeiro
At the appropriate time, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Rio de Janeiro airport for your flight home.
